Our story
FixyBee was born from friendship, motherhood, and community.
We are Viola and Mirian - friends, mums, and the founders of FixyBee. After more than 20 years living in Antigua, we noticed something again and again: people were always looking for trusted contacts. At first, we were the ones asking. Over time, we became the ones people asked.
“Who do you trust?”
“Do you know someone reliable?”
Without planning it, we had built something valuable: a real network based on experience, references, and community trust. The kind of network that grows slowly over years, through real life, real conversations, and real responsibility.
And then we asked ourselves an important question: why should trusted local recommendations stay hidden inside private chats and small personal circles? Why not make them more accessible, while still keeping them human, thoughtful, and rooted in the community?
That question became FixyBee.
We believe people should be able to discover Local Pros in a way that feels clearer, warmer, and more trustworthy than a random social media thread or an anonymous listing board. We also believe technology should support human trust - not replace it.
Mirian
Mirian is a mum who deeply values community and believes that trust and good references are what hold everything together. For her, relationships come first. A recommendation is not just information - it is responsibility.
Viola
Viola is a tech-minded mum who believes that almost anything can be built digitally - but only if it stays human, intuitive, and easy to use. Technology should simplify life, not distance people.
FixyBee brings together the best of both worlds: the humanity and trust of word of mouth, and the clarity and reach of a thoughtful digital platform.
From word of mouth to digital trust.
That is the heart of what we are building in Antigua Guatemala: a platform that feels local, personal, and useful in everyday life.
